What You Need to Know About Google’s New Nofollow, Sponsored, & UGC Link Attributes

Moz recently put together a blog article on how Google had viewed backlinks (prior to September, 2019), how it views them now (post September 2019), and how it plans to view them beginning in March of 2020.

The infographic below does a great job of neatly organizing these Google algorithm changes, and what it means for SEOs/content marketers.

A quick note that publishers don’t have to do anything. Google offers no incentive for changing, or punishment for not changing. It is up to the SEO’s discretion on how develop a clients’ backlink strategy!
